To My Child
I wrote this poem when I was in HSC for a couple of months in 2015. It tells how Jesus is with us at all times.
TO MY CHILD
When your eyes tear
I will wipe them away
When you have no strength
I will lift the weight
When you feel unhealthy
My healing hands will be upon you
When you feel sad and in darkness
I will bring you light
When you feel cold
I will wrap My arms around you
When you want to escape
Run into My arms
When you feel alone
I will be your friend
Love Jesus.

Oh Pat!!! How beautiful!!! And how blessed you were to be able to write those words during a difficult and trying time in your life. How blessed we are to be able to read them and absorb them in this trying and difficult time. God is so good.

Thank you for sharing this, Pat. It's a comfort to be reminded of the light in the darkness, Jesus' arms around me in the cold, Jesus being my friend when I'm alone, and Jesus lifting the weight when I have no strength. I have felt a lot of darkness, weight, and loneliness over the last couple years. Reading this today, I can also feel the light, comfort, and love of Jesus. Thank you.
These words are like a warm, cozy, comforting blanket for the soul. So vivid that I can feel Jesus' arms wrapped around me. What a blessing it must have been for you to receive this image at a time when you were hurting and struggling. Thank you for expressing and sharing that intimate gift with us!!
